Study Deposits & Refunds
On accepting our offer of a place on any CTH programme a study deposit of £2000.00 is required before we can send you a letter for Visa purposes. This will be deducted from your total fee. The remainder of the fee is payable on arrival and prior to the start of your programme.
If you send a personal cheque for this amount it will have to clear before we are able to send out your letter. Please allow two weeks for the cheque to clear.
Bloomsbury Business School will accept payments by Credit or Debit card over the telephone. This is a more effective way of allowing us to get the letter to you for visa purposes.
Your study deposit should be paid to the Financial Services Department at the school. All payments must be made in British Pounds (GBP).
Cash, cheques and bank drafts will also be accepted. All cheques and bank drafts should be made payable to Bloomsbury Business School and can be posted to the Financial Services Department at the address below. Please do not forget to write your name, address and student reference number on the back.

Refund Policy
In response to requests from the Visa Sections in many countries BBS requires students to pay a deposit once they have been made an offer of a place at BBS on academic grounds. On receipt of the deposit BBS will issue a letter which can be used for visa purposes.
- A refund of the deposit is only made if a student is refused a visa. BBS requires proof of rejection and copies of official documentation and details of the passport number. BBS will verify with the relevant visa department(s) and return monies if satisfied.
- No refunds will be made to students who do gain a visa and travel to the UK and then choose not to study at BBS
- BBS will not transfer monies to other universities/institutions if, on arrival in the UK, a student decides to enrol to another university/institution other than BBS
- Students who defer their entry and who do not travel to the UK will be allowed to transfer their deposit payment to the next available intake
- Students who gain a visa, travel to the UK and then request a deferral to the next available intake, will forfeit the deposit unless satisfactory verifiable evidence is provided on the extenuating and unforeseen circumstances for the deferral
- Students are allowed one deferral only under conditions stated. If students fail to enrol on a deferral admission, the deposit will be retained by BBS and no refund will be given under any circumstances
- Deposits will be refunded in British Pounds (GBP) to the person who originally made the payment
- BBS will endeavour to transfer the deposit in the most cost effective way but will not be liable for any bank charges involved in the money transfer
- BBS reserves the right to inform the relevant authorities where there is evidence that a student has paid the deposit, travelled to the UK but has not enrolled on a course of study
- Students who are refused a visa due to the submission of fraudulent documents, to the British High Commission, will not be refunded the study deposit.
- Bloomsbury Business School will not be held responsible for any bank charges incurred by the student for the refund of a study deposit.
- An administration charge of £10 will be levied on all refunds
