Study Deposits & Refunds
On accepting our offer of a place on any CTH programme a study deposit of £2000.00 is required before we can send you a letter for Visa purposes. This will be deducted from your total fee. The remainder of the fee is payable on arrival and prior to the start of your programme.
If you send a personal cheque for this amount it will have to clear before we are able to send out your letter. Please allow two weeks for the cheque to clear.
Bloomsbury Business School will accept payments by Credit or Debit card over the telephone. This is a more effective way of allowing us to get the letter to you for visa purposes.
Your study deposit should be paid to the Financial Services Department at the school. All payments must be made in British Pounds (GBP).
Cash, cheques and bank drafts will also be accepted. All cheques and bank drafts should be made payable to Bloomsbury Business School and can be posted to the Financial Services Department at the address below. Please do not forget to write your name, address and student reference number on the back.

Refund Policy
In response to requests from the Visa Sections in many countries, BBS requires students to pay a study deposit once they have received an offer of a place on a Diploma or Advanced Diploma programme. The study deposit is £2000. On receipt of the study deposit BBS will issue you with a CAS number to enable you to apply for your Entry Clearance to study in the UK.
- A refund of the deposit is only made if an applicant is refused a visa. BBS requires proof of rejection, which needs to be posted to the BBS office. A scanned copy of the refusal is not permissible for a refund to be processed
- A refund will not be made to any student refused a visa due to a fraudulent application
- No refunds will be made to students who do gain a visa, travel to the UK and then choose not to study at BBS
- BBS will not transfer monies to other universities/institutions if, on arrival in the UK, a student decides to enrol at another university/institution other than BBS
- Students who defer their entry and who do not travel to the UK will be permitted to transfer their deposit payment to the next available intake
- Students are allowed one deferral only. If a student fails to enrol on a deferral admission, the deposit will be retained by BBS and a refund will not be given under any circumstances
- Study deposits will be refunded in British Pounds (GBP) to the person who originally made the payment
- If an applicant receives a CAS number from BBS and then chooses not to apply for Entry Clearance to study at BBS, then the refund will only be made on receipt of the original offer letter and any other documentation sent to the applicant from BBS.
- BBS will endeavour to transfer any refund in the most cost effective way, but will not be liable for any bank charges involved in the money transfer
- BBS reserves the right to inform the relevant authorities where there is evidence that a student has paid a study deposit, travelled to the UK but has not enrolled on a course of study at BBS
- Refunds may take up to 8 weeks to process and an administrative charge of £100 will be deducted from the study deposit made
