BBS now offers Virgin Atlantic's range of travel courses offering internationally recognised qualifications in airline fares and ticketing.

Virgin Atlantic is the second largest longhaul airline in the UK and the third largest European carrier over the Atlantic. Virgin’s route network has grown in the last twenty years to include destinations in the US, the Caribbean, Far East, India and Africa. In the spring of 2003 Virgin Atlantic replaced British Airways as the only British airline to make its in-house training materials available to students.

IATA approved travel agencies must have staff who have undertaken IATA approved training.  Virgin training programmes provide ambitious individuals with the professional IATA qualifications necessary for a successful career in the travel industry. Courses lead to Virgin Atlantic Airways qualifications which are internationally recognised in the travel industry and can be used for employment with any major airline or travel agency.

All courses are delivered by experienced IATA qualified tutors. The programmes have been developed by some of the travel industry's top course writers. The result is a fresh contemporary approach and a thoroughness for which Virgin is famous. 

The Virgin Level 1 and Level 2 course materials are presented in ring binder format and contain comprehensive course notes, with extensive question/answer exercises and four mock examinations – ideal preparation for the final exam.

Directed Study

*Directed Study is where the student works from home studying from the provided materials. The student is allowed up to 8 email contacts with a qualified member of our faculty when they feel they need assistance on a study issue.

On the day of the Exam the students will be given a 2-hour review before sitting the exam in the afternoon
